Knight Transport LLC is a family-owned and operated, asset-based flatbed trucking company rooted in the Pacific Northwest. Based in Auburn, Washington, we have been a trusted name in the industry since 1980, proudly serving all 48 lower states.
Founded by CEO Scotty B White, Knight Transport was built on a simple premise: understanding the real needs of the road. Because we were started by a trucker, for truckers, we know firsthand what it takes to deliver excellence, support our drivers, and get the job done right.
A History of Innovation
When we established our current over-the-road configuration in 1991, we didn't just follow industry standards—we changed them. At a time when the standard hauling capacity was stalled at 45,000 to 46,000 lbs, Scotty and our team took a forward-thinking approach.
By pairing lightweight Freightliners with aluminum spread-axle trailers, Knight Transport successfully achieved an unheard-of 52,000 lb load capacity. Decades later, that same spirit of innovation, reliability, and driver-first mentality continues to drive everything we do.
